It may well be old news to some, but the JavaHowTo blog has some nice tips on using GlassFish.
Recent ones include :
• "How to create jdbc connection pool and DataSource in GlassFish"
• "Disable NetBeans httpmonitor in GlassFish" (yes, that's pretty annoying)
