SDPY - Most important Java 7 feature

Two years ago, I wrote this piece on "The most important feature for Java 7". It still sounds like the #1 thing I want from Java 7.

There's a distinct lack of uniformity and coherence in Java, and its really starting to hurt. Not a particularly big fan of Microsoft, but their competing technologies offer so much more at a much lower complexity price , I'm afraid it's just too tempting.

This is interesting, can you elaborate on the coherence? Do you mean across Java ME, Java SE & Java EE or something else?
