Tiger is here!
Ok, so by the time you read this, Tiger (aka J2SE 5.0) will be tagged as final (if not, you're minutes early ;-). This release is huge (almost as big as Longhorn wants to be!) with over 100 new features. New language features are obviously something many talk about (generics and annotations being the most promising IMO), but since "Desktop Java" is one of the main theme in this release, you may want to read more details here.
