Feeling quite at home, in Kowloon...
The world is not just flat, but vertical, dense, ... having grown up in New Delhi (living in San Francisco bay area now), I find that I am instantly transported to my comfort zone, walking through such jostling streets, as in a recent trip to Kowloon/Hong Kong. Despite language barriers, something about all that hustle-bustle makes me feel more connected within our species:

(I spot at least two ubiquitous MNC icons)

My favorite 7-11 finds were Akasaka Japan (found an umbrella there in a sudden downpour), and Shenzhen China (where I found some much needed Nescafe coffee after overloading on black tea for several mornings. :) No matter where you go in the world, you can find a 7-11.
