Logging out branding
Today is cloudy and rainy, again. I couldn't expect Dublin would be like that at the end of July. ':-)

Last night it rained as well, so during an slight attack of boredom, I made a little hack for gnome-session. It adds some branding to the logging out screen:

Original logout from HEAD

Sun branded logout

About the branding, I did what I could; with a better design I'm sure it would look better. :-)

Thanks a bundle, now I'm going to have to put up with Debian branding in my shutdown dialog box too. -- No, seriously, I like it, it looks cool. Maybe art.gnome.org can come up with a whole line of cool shutdown backgrounds?

Are the changes committed? Where can we get the exciting code? ;-)

Hi Alvaro! I'm searching for a way to shutdown Gnome non-interactively. Something like: "gnome-session-logout --shutdown" Currently I simply use "halt", but that does not send some signals/messages/notifications to the applications to save their state. Do you have any idea?

Ron, Have you tried gnome-session-save --kill?

bnitz, that saves the session, which not is, what I want. And it does bring up the shutdown-dialog, which is also not, what I want, since that would require user-interaction.
