Thursday May 31, 2007 Today I attended the OpenSolaris Day conference. As I imagined, it has been a very interesting event; all the attendees were either community members or Solaris users who wanted to learn about the OpenSolaris technology and community. A great mix of people.
The two most interesting things for me have been, in first place, to get in touch with the Spanish OpenSolaris community. Beside all the good stuff that these guys have been contributing so far, it seems that there is still lot of work to do. However, the group will likely continue to grow, so my expectations are pretty high on this community. In fact, from now on, I will try to get involved with them!
The other thing I liked the most was to have the chance to meet Roman Strobl and a few of my Sun colleagues in Spain. :-)
Here is my OpenSolaris Day gallery. I took a bunch of pictures but I haven't uploaded all of them, so if you were there and you miss some, do not hesitate to contact me and I'll send them to you.
