OpenSolaris CIFS Service at the Storage Developer Conference

The native OpenSolaris CIFS Service has been out there for about a year and things seem to be going well. We have an active community on OpenSolaris.org, with discussion on cifs-discuss, and the recent SNIA Storage Developer Conference (SDC) seemed like a good opportunity to provide an update on the project.

The SDC is an excellent forum for information exchange: well organized, good presentations and an active CIFS interoperability plugfest.  I recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to hear the latest on SMB/CIFS interoperability.  The OpenSolaris CIFS Service presentation was an interactive affair and, if you didn't make it to the conference, the presentation video and slides are available online.
