Sun and MySQL: The Future Starts Now
It’s done, and in record time! Sun completed its acquisition of MySQL AB on Monday February 25 and we are now one company. The MySQL team is now the Database Group in Sun’s software division, and former CEO Marten Mickos is now Senior Vice President of the database group.
So what’s next?
A whirlwind world tour, that’s what! Sun executives will be traveling across the globe in March holding “Meetup Mashup” meetings for the Sun-MySQL community. Instead of flying across the globe to join them, we’d suggest joining the upcoming online Community Town Hall at 10 am Pacific time on March 4 with Jonathan Schwartz, Rich Green, and Marten Mickos.
