Sun Reinvents Storage
Today, Sun Microsystems announced its new unified storage solution, the Sun Storage 7000 series. Based on industry standard components and Sun's open source software, this new storage family offers breakthrough analytic capabilities, significant performance increases, less energy consumption, quick installation and up to 75% cost savings – all compared to competing storage systems.
The initial release of the Sun Storage 7000 family features three products, the Sun Storage(TM) 7110, 7210 and 7410 Unified Storage Systems. In conjunction with the launch, Sun also announced a new Open Storage Partner Specialty Program and a series of new professional services to help customers take advantage of Open Storage technologies.
