Java and security bits
Andy B at Stanford
Andy Bechtolsheim, Sun co-founder and employee #1, gave a talk at Stanford this week, see the webcast. It was about High Performance Compute Clusters focusing on the interconnect fabric (Ethernet, Infiniband, Myrinet), so not exactly my area. Still, I find it very refreshing to listen to him. He always speaks his mind (no sugar coating) and he is as confident presenting the 20.000 feet architect's as view as the 10 inch implementer's view, getting down to minute details.
So check out the Stanford webcast. If you like it, you can of course find lots of other material featuring Andy, including the Sun founders panel and a pair of podcasts that explore Sun's history and the Galaxy Opteron servers (part 1 and part 2).
