We're throwing a pizza party!
An achievement worth blogging about. And its something which the JIIT OSUM team has made possible. As you all know we've been transitioning to the new JIIT OSUM ('Awesome') community and as more and more people are joining the new community everyday, we reached the 100 members milestone yesterday. JIIT OSUM is proudly, the first OSUM community in the world to reach a 100 members.

Gary Serda from Sun, is the global campus ambassador program manager and he just threw a bombshell (aka an shocking surprise, not to be taken for any other meaning ;) at us in return for our efforts, today evening. Since we are the first OSUM in the world to achieve 100 members (in not more than a week), he has awarded us by giving us a Pizza Party! to celebrate this great achievement - that means free pizzas for all our members at the meetup!

Our OSUM Community is been open for just over a week now and it has been great to see how you all have been utilizing our community to connect, share and collaborate in the true spirit of open source. Our OSUM Community has been growing consistently each day thanks to your support and the invitations that you've extended to your friends and networks.

I would like to congratulate the members of the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University OSUM for their outstanding community development efforts. They are the first OSUM in the world to reach 100 members. To celebrate this milestone, Sun is pleased to award the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University OSUM with a "Pizza Meetup (party)" so they can celebrate their efforts and achievement.

We'll continue to recognize and celebrate the milestones in our OSUM Community. After all, OSUM is a great place to learn and to have fun.

In addition to this blog post, he also replied to our discussion thread "Cheers to JIIT OSUM", sent a message to the group, commented on our OSUM ,and sent me a PM !  

And in addition to the Pizza Party, He has also proposed to fund for printing of our very own 'JIIT OSUM' t-shirts!

The team is discussing and planning the meetup so that it can be even more exciting for all of us. It'll probably be after the holidays since next week we have exams and then most of the people will go home. We'll send out the exact plan for the event and timing to JIIT OSUM members.
