Global Presence

Though I had intentions of writing more often on this blog, especially after OpenSolaris went live, I never got around to it until now. The primary reason is that most of the code that I work on hasn't yet appeared in OpenSolaris for various reasons. So, I will talk about how fun it is to work for a global company such as Sun. I was traveling in South America earlier this year during a vacation and was delighted when I spotted the Sun logo on top of a huge building in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It's a good looking building and was in the newly hip and cool Puerto Madero Barrio. Now, I am quite sure that we don't inhabit the whole building but we definitely have our big logo on it. I wanted to step inside but I was in a rush as I had to take a flight soon afterwards and didn't have the time. Maybe next time. Over the course of the last 8 years, I have been to various Sun campuses around the world and most of the time, have been impressed with their locations.
