I have installed OpenSSO eventually. I would like to thank Dennis Seah for his help. There are a few tricks you have to pay attention for s successful installation. In deed, It take 5 minutes to install.

First trick is username. It is amAdmin -be careful it is case sensitive! Second  is for the people who are familiar with Access Manager; the data store is file system not Sun directory. Do not look for directory configuration. Dennis told me the directory support will be available  soon. Central repository is crucial for fail-over and load balancing. I hope it doesn't take so long.

I have documented the steps you have to complete for a successful OpenSSO server installation. You can find it in PDF format here.

Next will be agent installation! It is a real adventure, isn't it?

Thanks for the installation notes - I've just installed the WAR download onto Tomcat 5.5, and the installation was extremely simple. This has definitely helped me to get started.

Hi Orhan/Dennis, Apologies for a newbie question. I followed the installation notes in the PDF in Orhan's original post but can't get past the logon page. I enter the correct username and password but get redirected back to the logon page. There are no errors displayed on the screen and I can't find any errors in any log files. I'm using Java 5 and Tomcat 5.5 on a brand new PC, i.e. all I've done is install Java, Tomcat and the opensso war file. I get the feeling that there is something else required that I've not installed. Thanks for any help. Robin

Hi All, (1) I am having the same problem as Robin with the openssodemo. I am running JBoss 4.0.5 GA on W2K3 SP1 connected to an isolated domain named test.local. I was unsure of what to enter for the cookie domain so I used ".TEST.LOCAL" (without quotes). (2) How does one unistall the demo war? Thank you! Tim

Today I downloaded opensso.war & deployed it. But facing problem with configuration. Once I gave values like Admin password, Configuration Store Settings as File System etc & click on configure, on the next page its hanging with the following message on server console: Apr 16, 2007 6:26:03 PM com.sun.xml.rpc.server.http.JAXRPCServletDelegate init INFO: JAXRPCSERVLET14: JAX-RPC servlet initializing. There is difference in the UI page displayed for the configuration, from the one given in installation-guide.pdf. Can some one help me to successfully complete the installation?
