Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational Meet at Stanford - May 2, 2009
I attended Payton
Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Stanford yesterday. This was
my first such meet and it was truly exciting to see/meet some elite
runners, for example 10.57 secs for 100 meter and many such athletes. I
had a short interaction with Amaechi
Morton who broke a 38-year old Stanford record in the
400-meter hurdle and the fifth fastest in the nation this year. Two key
advises from him for a runner: "higher intensity" and "more practice".
And based upon that I truly enjoyed my hills run at Rancho this morning.

Dilli Haat - An Exotic Arts & Craft Bazaar
"Haat" is a Hindi word that means a weekly marketplace where the
producer sells
the product themselves. As a result, the buyer can find out interesting
details about the product which are typically not available when
sold through retailer. This is equivalent to Farmers
Market where the
Farmers are replaced by local artisans.
Dilli
Haat
is one such place set up by Government
of India in New Delhi.
It has traditional clothes and jewelry, handicrafts, music
performances,
paintings, foods from different Indian states,
and a lot more. It's a great way to spend a weekend!
