Sun Java System App Server - The Best App Server

SYS-CON Media announced 2007 SOAWorld Readers's Choice Awards. Sun Microsystems got top awards in quite a few categories:

Sun Java System Application Server Best App Server
Java Web Services Developer Pack Best Framework
XML and Web Services Security (XWS-Security) 2.0 Best Security Solution
Sun Developer Network Java Technology and Web Services Site Sun Microsystems, Inc. Best Web Services or XML Site
Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) 1.3 Best Web Services Utility
Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) 1.3 Best XML Parser

And there are other technologies/products at different ranks:

Java Web Services Tutorial Sun Microsystems, Inc. 2nd Best Web Services or XML Training
Java System Portal Server 2nd Best Portal Platform
Java EE 2nd Best SOAP / Web Services platform
NetBeans 5.0 4th Best IDE
NetBeans 5.0 4th Best Tool/Platform
XML and Web Services Security (XWS-Security) 2.0 4th Best Web Services or XML Training

The version number on some of the products is not mentioned but it seems like none of the components of Metro, JAX-WS RI or Tango, are considered. Metro, sort of successor to Java Web Services Developer Pack, provides a high-performance Web services stack integrated in GlassFish V2. And XWS-Security 3.0, an improved and more efficient version of XWSS 2.0, is part of Tango. NetBeans 6 provides a feature-loaded IDE that the developers will ever need. All of these products will be released later this year and will help us win more awards next year.
