Learn JRuby on Rails - FREE Hands-on Event Aug 8th

JRuby image Get ready for an interactive afternoon of coding and discussion on JRuby and GlassFish on Aug 8th in San Francisco, CA. In this free event, JRuby on Rails: Power plus simplicity, learn how to code and deploy a JRuby on Rails application that harnesses the expansive collection of first-rate Java libraries.

The complete agenda is available here. Here are the pre-requisites for participating:

  • WiFi-enabled laptop (don't forget the power cable)
  • Download Ruby NetBeans IDE or IDE/Text editor of your choice
  • Come hungry and thirsty as there will be a FREE catered dinner and open bar

As a starter, here are some of the previous entries on JRuby. These incrementally show how to develop a JRuby app that can connect to database and deploy on GlassFish.
