NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1: Upcoming Release CookBooks
This document provides some CookBooks written for the upcoming 5.5.1 release of NetBeans Enterprise Pack.
These CookBooks cover some new functionality that will be available in Enterprise Pack 5.5.1:
- CASA Editor/Comp Apps
- IEP
- XSLT
- Binding Component
HelloSample
This is a simple end-to-end HelloSample which illustrates a basic
scenario of a simple SOA project. It includes WSDL, CASA editor and
File Binding Component.
Intelligent
Event Processor
Creating an intelligent event processor quotes.iep that monitors a
stream of stock quotes.
A
CASA Editor Tutorial
This tutorial will show how to modify a composite application project
to make a connection to a service provided by an external service unit
deployed to the JBI runtime.
A Simple
XSLT Tutorial
This tutorial illustrates how create an Xslt Project for a JBI
environment. This example will configure a Request-Reply XSLT SU using
the SOAP HTTP binding component.

NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5: Current Release
The current release is NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5. You can download this release from the NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 Download page. For more information about the 5.5 release, visit the NetBeans Enterprise Pack main page.
NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1: Upcoming Release
NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1 will be released with the NetBeans 5.5.1 IDE.
- Development Builds: The latest Qbuild (Qualified Build made available approximately on a bi-weekly schedule) is available from the netbeans.org download page. Select NetBeans Version 5.5.1 and Build Type Q-Build and follow the instructions.
- Note: You will also need to download NetBeans 5.5.1 along with NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5.1. Go to the netbeans.org download page. Select NetBeans Version 5.5.1 and Build Type Daily Build and select a recent IDE build.
- Daily Builds: To download the daily builds of NetBeans
Enterprise Pack on the netbeans.org
download page, select NetBeans Version 5.5.1 and Build Type Daily
and follow the instructions.
Notes:- Daily builds are incremental in that they contain only the latest IDE modules (and not the runtimes)
- You must extract daily builds on top of the previous Q-Build. So, before you download and install a daily build, you would need to download and install the previous Q-Build.
