Addressing "anything Sun", that is: anything I come across in my role as a Systems Practice Solutions Architect. Your mileage may vary ;-) Mousebits: Bart Muijzer's Blog

In a life before SUN I was a boardmember of the Dutch Unix Users Group ("Nederlandse Unix Users Groep" -- NLUUG). I left in 2003 but am still in touch with some of the current board members. And I regularly visit their conferences.

Through these contacts, NLOSUG managed to make the OpenSolaris 2008.05 distribution available through the NLUUG FTP server and its mirror.

Here's the complete list of URLs:

ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/opensolaris
http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/opensolaris
rsync://ftp.nluug.nl/opensolaris

ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/pub/os/opensolaris
http://ftp.surfnet.nl/pub/os/opensolaris
rsync://ftp.surfnet.nl/opensolaris

Future distributions of the SUN "opensolaris.com" bits will be made available too through the same URLs.

To see how infamous the NLUUG site is, refer to the NLUUG/SURFnet FTP Server Usage.

A big Thank You for the NLUUG FTP server maintainers!!

Oh... stay tuned 'cause there more great news coming regarding the distribution of OpenSolaris for Holland.
