Walking the streets of Zürich: Tomorrow is Today

On Saturday I met up with Reto Bachman Gmür to talk about RDF. On my way back I saw some unusal things walking through Zürich. People dressed in weird constumes,

people dancing in the street (and a lot of nakedness)

punks being tender

and this went on until midnight. At times it was difficult to walk through the streets, they were so packed. One just had to stop and dance. When I reached the central train station at 11pm it had turned into a huge rave party.

The main stages closed at midnight, but thousands of smaller venues continued, I am told into the early morning hours (6 am). This all may well have had something to do with the Zürich Street Parade, whose motto this year is "Tomorrow is Today".

As I said. The swiss are a conservative lot. They fiercly guard their freedoms (to party).
