Kowari forks and a Mulgara is born
Whereas in the stock market we are used to troubles in one company leading to mergers and hence to less choice for the consumer, in Open Source land the opposite happens. The difficulties I reported with Kowari, a scalable Java RDF database, have resolved themselves in a fork. We now have two scalable databases to chooce from instead of one.
The unofficial Kowari fork is about to become official. The new name will be Mulgara, another Australia marsupial which is remarkably similar to a Kowari :)
via David Wood.
More on the mulgara.org web site.
