BuisnessWeek: Semantic Web for CEOs
Business Week has a whole section on the Semantic Web this month. It is very pragmatic. The CEO tipsheet for example, has reasonable guidelines, no hype. It's main point: go in slowly, learn with simple examples, and build on those as your experience grows. Some other highlights:
- Q&A with Tim Berners Lee: main entry point to the series of articles
- Taming the World Wide Web, a long three page article
- Weaving a web around Information a short series of photo blogs describing companies working in the area.
- Podcast interviews of Eric Miller by Rachel King
- A video of Neil Goldman explaining the technology (I could not get it to work)
While I am at it, I should mention Tim Berners Lee's short video intro to the Semantic Web. Tim Berners Lee has to be a lot more forward looking of course, as he is here to push the boundaries of the web. With this vision to guide them, and good business pragmatism, this will all come to pass. One link at a time. :-)
PS. Thanks to Tim Finnin for making me notice some of the articles I had originally overseen.

Note on comments:
- I know the forms below are a little small. We have asked for years for this to be changed, but I don't think it's going to happen soon. In Apple's Safari you can resize the entry box with you mouse. For people using other browsers click on this javascript link, that should allow you to resize your form.
- Comments are moderated, so they will take a little time to appear. Currently moderation means I have to read them personally. Hopefully with OpenId deployment, this will become more automated.
- HTML markup no longer works here, due to some decision made somewhere. Sorry about that.
- If you are having trouble posting, it may be that you need javascript to be enabled. I don't think javascript should be needed for submitting a form, but that's the way it is here.
