imported 993 bookmarks into del.icio.us
So how do I make them all public now? Should I?
I had been wanting to use my
delicious for a while. Last time I looked I could not find a way to
import my Safari bookmarks.
But today as I was browsing
around, I noticed that they had a nice easy to use service, so I
imported all 993 of them, which took them well over 5 hours to digest.
Presumably they need to check each link to see if it's alive, and
connect it to the rest of their network.
Once in the only problem
was none of the bookmarks were shared. The only way to share them, was
to click each link individaully. I tried and managed to share 100 of
them, one by one, but I can report right now that this is very tedious.
There does not seem to be a way to share them all in one go. Perhaps I
am not meant to?
Well it looks like it should be possible to do this quite easily using the del.icio.us java api. Perhaps I'll use that.
Any good tips on del.icio.us usage?

Note on comments:
- I know the forms below are a little small. We have asked for years for this to be changed, but I don't think it's going to happen soon. In Apple's Safari you can resize the entry box with you mouse. For people using other browsers click on this javascript link, that should allow you to resize your form.
- Comments are moderated, so they will take a little time to appear. Currently moderation means I have to read them personally. Hopefully with OpenId deployment, this will become more automated.
- HTML markup no longer works here, due to some decision made somewhere. Sorry about that.
- If you are having trouble posting, it may be that you need javascript to be enabled. I don't think javascript should be needed for submitting a form, but that's the way it is here.
