Short Interview for Semantic Web Schools

Andreas Blumauer sent me eight questions on the Semantic Web which I spend this morning thinking about and answering. He kindly placed the answers on the school's web site under the rather long title Henry Story: "Luckily the Semantic Web at its core is really simple, which is exactly what makes it bullet proof". These are the questions I gave answers to:

Henry, what is the exciting thing about the Semantic Web? Why are you working on it?
Sometimes a "semantic evangelist" like you might get tired of explaining what the semantic web is all about. So, how do you address that problem? What are your favourite arguments for the use of semantic technologies, especially when you have little time to explain?
Which topics are being addressed by semantic web technologies at the moment at Sun Microsystems? How long do you think it will take until there is a "corporate semantic web" at Sun?
To build data-models by using the W3C Semantic Web Stack, the introduction of an "RDF-Bus" might seem to be a bit unusual to some DB-specialists. So what are your arguments for doing so?
On what projects in the field of the semantic web are you working at the moment?
Social tagging is quite a simple way to enrich information semantically. Do you work on concepts which will help to process tags in a corporate semantic web @ Sun?
What are your recommendations to other globally acting companies concerning the use of semweb-technologies - when should they start thinking about a "semantic shift"?

Note on comments:

I know the forms below are a little small. We have asked for years for this to be changed, but I don't think it's going to happen soon. In Apple's Safari you can resize the entry box with you mouse. For people using other browsers click on this javascript link, that should allow you to resize your form.
Comments are moderated, so they will take a little time to appear. Currently moderation means I have to read them personally. Hopefully with OpenId deployment, this will become more automated.
