SPARQLing Roller
Would you like to have a standard and extensible query language for querying any blog servers? Well I have recently been working on implementing just this. Using the D2RQ library developed at the Freie Universität of Berlin and the Roller Weblogger software that is powering blogs.sun.com, I have put up a test server that maps Roller's mysql tables to the AtomOwl ontology.

You can also play with the test Roller server (but don't put any valuable data on there as it is unstable):- The Roller Test Server Root, where you can create an account for yourself and start your own blog.
- The The Silver Blog, is the example blog mentioned in the presentation.
- The The D2RQ mapping server, where you can find the SPARQL end point to query everything available on the blog server, or simply browse the mapped mysql database using a plain html browser.
If you are interested in doing something similar to your own blog server, or you would like to write a client (AJAX, or other) to use this, please subscribe to the AtomOwl mailing list. This is still experimental, and we need feedback make it better.

Note on comments:
- I know the forms below are a little small. We have asked for years for this to be changed, but I don't think it's going to happen soon. In Apple's Safari you can resize the entry box with you mouse. For people using other browsers click on this javascript link, that should allow you to resize your form.
- Comments are moderated, so they will take a little time to appear. Currently moderation means I have to read them personally. Hopefully with OpenId deployment, this will become more automated.
- HTML markup no longer works here, due to some decision made somewhere. Sorry about that.
- If you are having trouble posting, it may be that you need javascript to be enabled. I don't think javascript should be needed for submitting a form, but that's the way it is here.
- Check your comments by using the preview button...
