Pushing a Broom for the AFL/CIO
The hardest part about working at Sun is all the stuff you have to leave undone. It's like strolling through Great America theme park without enough tickets to do all the rides. Actually, it's like having enough tickets, but not enough time. And at lunch time you have to give somebody else the tickets you think will be left over, and watch them enjoy the rides you had your heart set on.
The hardest thing about pushing a broom for the AFL/CIO was enduring the tedium. Push the dust. Push the dust. Sigh. Push the dust. Keep pushing the dust. Look over the edge of the building. Wow, that's pretty far down there. Keep pushing the dust. Talk to the guy manning the broom next to you.
"How's it goin'?"
"Kinda dusty. You?"
Keep pushing the dust. Check your watch. Only 7 hours and 45 minutes more to go.
High-tech nirvana lies somewhere between these two extremes. That's why we put together our own intro to Sun's support programs. We broke it down into three parts:
- Sysadmin-focused overview of Sun's support programs
- Common scenarios and the programs best suited to them
- Other resources you might want to use
| It's just an itty bitty intro, but we hope it'll save you from having to push too much of that broom. Or missing too many of the those rides. - Rick |
