OpenSolaris in C't magazine
Pleasant surprise to see a test of OpenSolaris 2008.05 in the current issue of Dutch magazine C't, nr 7/8 2008. A positive and fair comparison is made to the current versions of Ubuntu 8.04 and Fedora 9. The article also feature an intro and mini-howto for OpenSolaris on the website, be warned that it is in Dutch... Open Solaris 2008.05 is also included with the magazine on a free DVD.
The German mother publication C't from Heise Verlag publishes a C't special this month on linux and OpenSolaris. The publication contains a number of articles on installing and configuring Solaris. A special XXL version of OpenSolaris with additional software is on the DVD. More news when I get my hands on it.
It is good to see that openSolaris is hitting the newsstands next to linux.
