Quadruple Digit Marketshare Growth
I don't think I will be able to say this many times in my career, but we achieved quadruple digit marketshare growth in the first full quarter since announcing the Sun Blade 6000 platform, we have seen a strong ramp for both Sun Blade 6000 as well as continued
momentum for Sun Blade 8000.
According to IDC, in Q3CY07:
- Sun is in a statistical tie for the #4 position with
Fujitsu/Fujitsu-Siemens in blade server factory revenue -
strong upward momentum from Sun's #6 position in Q2CY07
Sun has 4.4%
blade server factory revenue market share and Fujitsu/Fujitsu-Siemens
has 3.9% revenue market share
- Sun is in the #3 position for 4S blade server factory revenue with
15.8%
market share
- Sun grew blade server revenue 2378.8% y/y, and 4S blade server
revenue
1359.7% y/y

Sun should post why its servers are better as compares to HP and IBM. If the server are really good simple comparison really helps. It helps in a justification as "why" a company should look into Sun servers
