It starts and ends with community
Welcome!
As a way of introductions, this morning I'm giving a keynote at the Java in Cebu event in the Philippines. Along with me are several of Sun's best technology "sharers" (otherwise known as technology evangelists). Our goal today is to educate over 1,000 professional developers and IT students (or as we say, "developers in training") on the Java platform and the tools and resources available to leverage this technology eco-system.
The larger message is around community. With Sun's recent populating of the Open Solaris source on opensolaris.org, java.net's explosive growth of members and projects (doubled in size), the new Mustang and Glassfish projects on java.net, and all through next week's JavaOne conference in San Francisco it should be pretty obvious we are committed to helping support and engage with the global developer community. That's why I'm here in Cebu today. Take a look, and participate...
Let me know what you think.
