Blogging Providers?

What is a (free) blogging application that I can download and host on my web/app server?

Any comparison available amongs best providers?

Blosxom - work just like a unix filter. You just edit normal .txt files and then let blosxom process them. Your "categories" are your Unix directories: simple and elegant.

"cat with stylesheets" I think someone called it. Good if you like having complete control and know a little bit of (X)HTML, CSS and UNIX.
