So, now I did it. I created a blog.
My name is Björn (which you can write as Bjoern, if you don't have an 'ö' character available) Milcke. I am one of he two Sun developers (the other one is Ingrid Halama) of the Chart module of OpenOffice.org.
Currently, we are still doing the re-implementation of the Chart module to allow us to do cool things in the future. We still have some problems to solve and some features to implement and also some issues to fix.
We have already made some developer snapshot builds of our development CWS (child-workspace) chart2mst3 available for you to test and evaluate. The latest build is milestone 7. We plan to release the next milestone build soon, so stay tuned.
If you are interested in the new Chart and attend the OOoCon 2006 in Lyon, you are invted to come to the Session "Discovering the New Chart Module" that I will do together with Pierre-André Galmes. Pierre-André helps in the chart for some time now and did his first code contribution, recently.
