5 months is an eternity in the benchmark world!
Tuesday May 16, 2006
The Sun Fire T2000 still has not been challenged in benchmarks world records it set over 5 months ago. None of the servers that are supposed to be faster (that require more power, more space, and more cost) have beaten it yet. For smaller servers, wow, 5 months is a forever!
So here are some of those long standing world records:
- SPECweb2005: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/bmseer?entry=webserving_champ_sun_fire_t2000
- SPECjAppServer2004: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/bmseer?entry=backgrounder_multinode_specjappserver2004
- Another SPECjAppServer2004: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/bmseer?entry=java_with_2000_shots_of
...and a refresh of SPECjbb2005 is yesterday's entry: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/bmseer?entry=gilding_the_lily_t2000_java
