What I read at lunch about innovation in tough times

Without a doubt, economic times are tough. But how do we get out of it? The answer that we are hearing throughout Sun engineering is, "Innovate" and build something new. I think this is spot on.
Other companies seem just to be lookings at costs. I know many Sun engineers who, instead of letting the headlines get them down have decided to just help Sun innovate ourselves into a better future.
You even see that others are picking up on this. Here is the Forbes posting on Sun's new technology:
"Give Sun Microsystems credit: The roof may be on fire, but the beleaguered server vendor seems just as focused on putting out innovative products as putting out the flames."
Sun's current product have some unique benefits increasing performance. But they also dramatically reduce watt/performance (which for customers has ongoing energy cost savings. There are some wonderful new products that are almost ready for launching. I can't wait!
