I know of a bunch of new results comparing Solaris & Linux (not on little OS tests but on whole applications) I saw an email about them, but they are not public yet so soon. Really use whatever OS that fits your need, but investigate them so you can make informed decisions and not just emotional ones.

If I was going to attack an OS I would pick HP-UX and/or AIX, but those aren't open and are getting marginalized quickly because of this. deadman walking?
