A Day without Sun
A Day without Sun
"ON SEPTEMBER 17TH, THERE WILL BE NO MEXICANS IN NEW YORK,
CHICAGO, MIAMI, SAN ANTONIO AND AUSTIN. "

The above is a trailer for a new movie called A Day Without A Mexican.

I responded to this immediately. WOW! Wish I thought of writing the book.

So now I'm off on this 'What if...' trip:

    'A Day without Music',...is a sad day!

    'A Day without Orange Juice'...is like a Day without SunShine,

    'A Day without Politics',...Actually, I'll stay away from politics.

So how about 'A Day Without Sun Microsystems'.

so a day without Sun for me would be going back to the dark ages... i'd have to use a PC to get my work done -- a PC that i had to be sys admin for, spending my days patching and rebooting. i'm sun ray girl. it's really hard to even think about going back to that -- it'd be like telling me i'd have to go to the bank during bankers hours to get my money out my account. i can't even fathom what it was to live in a world like that. plus, as a sun employee, a day without Sun would have certain obvious implications on the paycheck. ;-) mary

A day without Sun? I'll assume NFS won't disappear because if so, I wouldn't be commenting on your blog. Can I also assume, Java won't disappear. If so, using my cell phone could be proprietary and expensive - at best. Hang in there Sun.

A day without Sun... For me, this would mean, no UNIX. When I was in college, my first system was a Solaris machine.

And then no java.

No NFS.

No TCL/tk.
