Visual Web JSF: Inserts, Updates, & Deletes

Hi all,

I haven't blogged much the pat few days because I've been ill. I actually did try three of four times, but each attempt ended with me crawling back into bed. I feel a little better now (but not much, unfortunately), and I actually made the long commute into work . It does make me feel better to be able to announce that the Performing Inserts, Updates, and Deletes tutorial is finally ready for NetBeans 6.0. This is one of our more popular tutorials for a number of reasons, the most important of which is that is showcases Visual Web JSF functionality. Here is a short list of things you'll find in this tutorial:

  • using JSF 1.2 components
  • binding components to data
  • using virtual forms
  • data table layout
  • database manipulation
As you can see, this tutorial is no lightweight. It guides you through the process of creating a web pages displaying a data table that you can change by inserting or deleting entries and reverting the changes you made. Sound like fun? It is.

I bet you can't wait to give this tutorial a try. It should be live in a couple of hours. You can find it at http://www.netbeans.org/kb/60/web/inserts-updates-deletes.html.

See you tomorrow.
