Mercurial: Missing .hgrc

Hi all,

: The saga continues. I've had Leopard installed on my Mac since Thursday, and everything is running fine. The JDK problem has been solved. Now I have another problem: I can't find my Mercurial .hgrc file.

Before (on Tiger), I was able to find the .hgrc file easily. It was in my home directory. First I had to set up my Mac to show hidden files in the Finder.

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder

Then I found the file, added the applicable information (user, path, etc), and things went very well.

Now there is no .hgrc file to edit.

Of course, I'm not talking about the .hgrc file in my clone director/hg. I'm talking about the global .hgrc file.

Any suggestions?

See you tomorrow.

Comments:

The global hgrc file is the same across platforms:

/etc/mercurial/hgrc

Thanks for the comment. This is one of the first places I looked. It's not there.

It does not exists, but you can create it.

Thanks. I ended up creating it my Home directory because that's where Mercurial was looking for it.
