Hi all,

By now I'm sure you've noticed that NetBeans 6 Beta 2 is out. What you may or may not know is that Beta 2 documentation is out as well. Go to netbeans.org to check it out.

You can find Web Application Development at http://www.netbeans.org/kb/60/web/index.html. On this page you can find the following tutorials that work with NetBeans 6 Beta 2:

  • Getting Started With NetBeans Visual Web JSF Application Development
  • Developing a Visual Web JSF Application
  • Using the Calendar Component
  • Using Page Fragments
  • Installing the Visual Web JSF Samples Plugin
  • Using Databound Components to Access a Database
  • Understanding Scope and Managed Beans
  • Navigating Pages in a Visual Web JSF Application
And you can expect more as we get closer to the official release of NetBeans 6.0.

See you tommorrow!

Comments:

Have you tried the Visual JSF Samples with Tomcat 6.0.14 and following the guidelines of

http://wiki.netbeans.info/wiki/view/NetBeansVWPUserFAQ

and

http://wiki.netbeans.info/wiki/view/DeploymentOnExternalTomcatforNB6

I did, and executing the TravelCenter Sample, the webpage just get into a infinite loop.

Lorenzo
