NetBeans IDE Tutorial for Web Applications

Hi all,

Today I'd like to continue a blog series in which I highlight Web application tutorials for NetBeans 6.5. A few changes have been made to tutorials, so be sure to check them out again.

This twelfth entry in the series will cover the tutorial, "NetBeans IDE Tutorial for Web Applications".

In this tutorial, you build a fairly complex web application while being introduced to a number of tools and technologies in NetBeans IDE, as well as a typical web development cycle, from creation to deployment. Beginning with the creating of servlets and JSP pages, the advanced sections of this tutorial show you how to use the JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library (JSTL) to fetch dynamic data and to internationalize the JSP pages used in this application. You end the tutorial with an introduction to the IDE's HTTP Monitor, which helps you analyze a web application while it is deployed.

This tutorial has been updated for use with NetBeans IDE 6.5, complete with new screenshots. Have a great time with it!

Cheers!
