Tutorial Wisdom

Has the following scenario happened to you?
You're half-way through a tutorial when you discover that it doesn't work. You click the feedback link at the bottom of the tutorial. Soon, a technical writer contacts you and informs you that you've been trying to do a tutorial designed for NetBeans 5.5 with a 6.1 dev build. Kinda ruins your day, doesn't it?
There are ways you can avoid this. Check the top of the tutorial. The NetBeans version is listed there, and sometimes there's a version stamp accompanying it. I know that when you've discovered a new tutorial, you're excited about getting into the meat of the tutorial. Keep in mind that NetBeans supports several versions of tutorials at the same time. Why is this? Some developers are required to use certain versions dues to a variety of reasons (e.g. service contracts).
Besides version numbers, there's lots of important information listed at the top of each tutorial. There you can find compatibility information, database information, etc. It's definitely worth a look.
I hope that this helps prevent at least a few future misunderstandings.
See you tomorrow

James, just a suggestion: it'd help a great deal if the list of module tutorials were sorted by nb version number.
Things have changed rather a lot since 5.5 - unless you have a thorough understanding of the nb platform and api it's a little daunting to create modules, if I had a list of tutorials only relating to nb 6.0+ it'd help me get a clearer overview and start creating useful functional modules.
