Woodstock Bubble Help Component

Hi All,

Yesterday I blogged about the new look of the Woodstock palette in NetBeans. Today I'd like to spend some time talking about one of the new components: Bubble Help.

I spent this last weekend working on the documentation for this new component, and I have to say that it has been interesting. The Bubble Help is an interesting component in that it can alert, inform, and even send you on to another URL. And it looks cool too.

The Bubble Help component is designed to appear during a mouse over. You can manually set a delay or how long the bubble should remain visible. There are also several variations of the bubbles: First, there is the basic bubble:

Then there's a bubble with a hyperlink:

And a bubble with images:

You'll find the Bubble Help component in the Woodstock Composite category of the Palette. You can drag the component from the palette to the Visual Designer, or you can add the JSP code yourself:

This is just one more example proving that Project Woodstock never sleeps.

See you tomorrow with another component.
