Steelers: 16 Redskins: 7
The Steelers win again thanks, in large part, to the 4th consecutive 100-yard rushing game from Jerome Bettis.
This year's team is looking a lot like classic Steelers teams of yore. Going into today's game, the Steelers had the #1 total defense and the #1 rushing offense in the NFL.

Steelers: 19 Bengals: 14
Another week, another victory. It is looking more and more like 2004 is the Steelers' year.
I am particularly gratified that the Steelers were able to sweep the Bengals this year. The Bengals, irrespective of record, always seem to pose some difficulties for the Steelers.

Steelers: 27 Eagles: 3
Another week, another big victory over a team that was undefeated the week before. And once again, the Steelers dominated the ground game - rushing for 252 yards while giving up only 23. The Steelers outgained the Eagles 420 yards to 111.

NFL Rookie of the Year?
Ben Roethlisberger, the rookie QB of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is certainly making his case so far for NFL Rookie of the Year. He has won Rookie of the Week honors for every week in which he was the starting QB (5 weeks in all). He is 5-0 as a starter and currently boasts a passer rating of 104.7. Even if he did not play for my favorite team, he would certainly have my vote.

Steelers: 34 Patriots: 20
I had been waiting in a state of heightened anticipation for several weeks for today's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. As a Steelers fan, I was particularly excited to see the Black and Gold have an opportunity to end the Pat's incredible streak of 21 straight wins.
Ending this streak is a feat that I fully expected the Steelers to achieve. I did not, however, expect that the feat would be achieved in such convincing fashion. New England has handed the Steelers a number of painful losses in recent history (the 2001 Playoffs come immediately to mind). It is somewhat sweet, therefore, to see the Steelers reciprocate and return a measure of that pain. It is particularly satisfying to me that the Steelers absolutely dominated the Pats on the ground, rushing for 220 yards while giving up only a single net rushing yard.
At the risk of engaging in a bit of optimistic prognostication, this game ensures that the Steelers would win the 'head-to-head' tie-breaker over the Patriots for home field advantage in the Playoffs.
