Trivial Tidbits
The idea for Pac-Man was conceived in 1980 when a Namco game designer named Tohru Iwatani noticed the shape of a pizze after he removed a single slice.
The goal of each PacMan level is to eat all of the 240 dots - and the 4 energizers - scattered around a maze while avoiding being eaten by any one of 4 ghosts: Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde (the ghosts were named Akabei, Pinky, Aosuke, and Guzuta in the original Japanese version).
PacMan was originally named Puck-Man, but Namco decided, for obvious reasons, to change the name before releasing the game in America.
