Dan Rather Retiring

Dan Rather announced on Tuesday that he is resigning as anchorman of the CBS Evening News. I, for one, will not miss his brand of journalism or his political bias. I suspect that he will enjoy being able to shed his mantle of supposed objectivity and devote his time as an investigative journalist.

I welcome the New Media's strengthening influence...as well as the fall of an icon of journalism whose mantra was "to change the world". How about just reporting the news? Nice post!

i'm not clear how select statements out of their complete context is supposed to indict a journalist as biased. the site referenced does not bother to establish any sort of a standard in its references and analysis. i can only assume it considers itself not bound by any standards applicable to its subject matter. very strange.

The site references its sources. I suggest that interested parties do their homework and make their own judgments about Rather's biases or lack thereof.

Maybe they can still get Connie Chung back now that the woman hater is gone.
