Grid Engine Service Managed by SDM
In order to add a Grid Engine Service to an SDM system, the following conditions are needed:
-
The version of the Grid Engine instance must be 6.2 or higher.
-
The Java Management Extension (JMX) must be enabled in the qmaster host. For more information about enabling the JMX feature: http://wikis.sun.com/display/GridEngine/Installing+a+JMX-Enabled+System
-
The Certitifcate Authority of the Grid Engine must be initialized and a Java keystore for a Grid Engine admin user must exist. The Grid Engine Service will use this keystore for password-less authentication against Grid Engine. For more information, see the sge_ca man page.
-
The host where the Grid Engine Adapter should run must have access on the Grid Engine Root directory ($SGE_ROOT). This host must be a managed host of the SDM system. Normally the Grid Engine Adapter should run on the same host as the qmaster process.
