Sun Device Detection Tool 1.2 is released

A great tool which helps you determine if a particular hardware on your x86-based desktop/laptop/server can work with Solaris.

Basically an application based on Java WebStart, cool.

 Here is the report for my laptop(Acer Aspire 5500Z), very beautiful with the 'bfe' and 'iwi' which supports the broadcom NIC and wifi respectively. These two things brought a lot of funs to me while I was trying to install Solaris on it one year ago...

My laptop(Acer Aspire 5504WXMi) brought great fun to me while I was trying to install Solaris on it, too. Thanks of my videocard(ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700), I have to use Solaris in the videomode (640*480).
