Open Solaris Release Date Set Well, the Open Solaris "vaporware" release date is now set; and as the end of Q2 draws near this should be no surprise. It's only a few days after my dad's 73rd birthday, so I have two things to celebrate that week. (2005-05-07 06:03:59.0) Permalink Comments [6]

Well June does qualify as being after the first of the year. I think you are illustrating Sun's underlying problem. How can businesses support this kind of planning with any seriousness.

I read on the opensolaris website that it was 45days from a certan date. Check on the site and you should be able to pin it down to the exact date. I think the announcement was made on the 15th May. That makes it pretty much the 30th June.
