USB hotplug finally works Today I was pleasantly surprised to see the latest putback to SNV, our next Solaris release (soon on a OpenSOlaris source server near you)

Hooray!
This is great. Not only does it make it a lot easier for me personally - I use a USB memory stick between home and work - but it promises to make life a lot easier (if quieter) for me as an administrator. Because, as administrator, I'm the one who has to restart vold if my users want to mount a memory stick.
To whoever put this back - Thanks!

Erm, glad to know this. But it seems a bit overdue... Linux has supported it for a few years now, ditto Windows.
