The last two weeks I have been visiting the Sun engineering centers in Prague and St. Petersburg. Very cool trip, great engineers..and of course great beer, vodka, and caviar. One cool thing that happened while I was in Prague is John Loiacono ( we refer to him as JohnnyL) , the EVP of Software at Sun, held his worldwide software all hands via a remote webcast from Prague. I attended his all hands and I must say...I am super impressed! This guy is good ....very good. I have been at Sun since 98 and in the industry for much longer than that and I have never attended an all hands that was this inspiring. JohnnyL was so clear in delivering the vision and plan and so sincere and honest in his assessment of where we are at now and what we should expect going forward. I must say that I have come away impressed and VERY BULLISH on SUN. If you ever run into JohnnyL, try to get a few minutes of his time...you will not be disappointed!
