omnia mutantur nos et mutamur in illis

Having worked for Sun since 1999, I've seen Sun at it's best and had heard about Sun's working ethos before joining. Sun Professional Services has taken me to places I never thought I'd see without putting my hand deep in my pocket in addition to working on a level with people I was only able to read about.   My hope for the coming months is that whilst Sun will obviously have to embrace Oracle's stength in making money and the respect for a work-class brand, I hope Oracle will equally embrace Sun's ethics that has also made Sun a strong and trusted brand and a place of employment that people envy throughout the industry.

It would be a shame to lose the Sun brand as it has been a bleeding-edge innovator, which is second to none. I've lost money from falling stock (not as much maybe as the other guy) but looking around I see people devoted to a brand regardless of setback. Is it this passion that has clouded us and meant we are to be guided rather than guiding......
