Clearance Sale and the Blogonosphere

It is amazing to see how Blogonosphere (I love to misspell it for some reason!) works. My entry on the
all-in-one concept card, is still getting echoed
here and there; on on-line forums, personal websites, all sorts of link-blurb-blogs and perhaps email chains. Hits from these sources had kept me on the top of the blogs.sun.com daily hits chart for almost ten days. That would be like a hundred thousand views, assuming an average ten thousand per day.
The reason I actually blogged about that was part of a what I call "clearance sale" of my idea attic and $HOME directory. Similar to what shopkeepers do at the year end, get rid of old stuff at throw away prices to make room for new, I wanted to share things that I
did or thought about in 2005, but either forgot or never found time to share.
Winter break is also the time when I remove unwanted and old things from my $HOME and mailbox and stumble upon many old things ...
For example the
OpenOffice calendar template was created in Jan 2005; It had to rot in my home directory for year to actually see light of the day. There are many more things I need to take some time to dust off and share them on my blog, for what ever they are worth.
(there is a totally new CLI email reader (+ searcher), that converts "everything" to plain text, GTK and icon themes, very many Dtrace and perl scripts, OpenOffice templates that print day-planners, and a few GNOME/zenity tools ....)
